In September of each year is England’s biggest heritage festival celebrating our history, architecture and culture. Across the country, thousands of historic venues open up for free – many of them are not normally open to the public. That event is Heritage Open Days.
This year, Heritage Open Day events in Deal and Walmer will take place between the 13th and 21st September. We have about 30 venues, two exhibitions, a talk and two tours. Some of the venues are not normally open to the public whilst others have special exhibitions and all of the events are completely free.
