The Society holds a number of talks for members during the year and is looking for people who would be willing to give a talk on issues regarding the local area.
In particular we are interested in matters relating to the consequences of the building of new homes and the increase in population, the impact on the infrastructure, is it dealing with the affordable home issues, is the rise in Airbnb forcing our local young people out of the places they were born and more. Another topic for consideration is the impact of climate change and what it is doing to us, particularly as a seaside town.
Any other relevant topics would also be greatly appreciated.
